Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for Pre-Op and PACU Phases I & II. You will administer care to surgical patients before and after operation, using monitoring, assessment, and timely interventions.

You will work with the perioperative team to ensure safety and comfort, while documenting in the EMR system. The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and a commitment to professional growth in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualifications

Current RN license recognized by the Iowa Board of Nursing or applicable state board.
Two years of perioperative nursing experience preferred.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS within 6 months of hire.
Competent in computer data entry and EMR documentation.

Responsibilities

Care for pre- and post-operative patients in PACU/Phase I & II.
Monitor, assess, intervene, and reassess perioperative patients.
Document in EMR and maintain accurate patient records.
Demonstrate patient safety awareness in perioperative care.
Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure quality and cost-effective care.
