Genesis HealthCare System is seeking a Registered Nurse for Surgical Services at Genesis Hospital. The role provides professional nursing care, collaborates with physicians and anesthesia, and maintains sterile OR conditions during procedures.

The position requires Ohio RN licensure and ADN, CPR and ACLS certs, and strong communication. On-call duties and Epic system usage are part of daily responsibilities in Endoscopy Services.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio RN License and ADN.
• Current CPR certification or within 30 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification or within one year of employment.
• Ability to read, write and explain or describe moderately complex information to other hospital staff.
• Ability to communicate well in an oral and written manner.
• Ability to read, calculate and prepare medication, as well as the ability to observe and analyze any resulting reactions and to apply clinical knowledge.
• Ability to collect data, interpret findings, set priorities and carry out established plan.
• Demonstrates competence in age-specific patient care.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders in a warm and friendly manner.
• Take and record measurements or readings.
• Assess condition and provide treatment for patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications.
• Enter orders in Epic; may use other computer programs.
• Maintain sterile technique and sterilization logs.
• Support cost reduction by avoiding unnecessary supplies.
• Lead count activities and adhere to Count Policy.
• On-call activation within 30 minutes.
• Provide patient advocacy and effective hand-off to recovering nurse.
