Job summary

Progeny Human Resource Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse Manager for Surgical Services (RN MGR - OR) in a full-time role in Florida. The RN Manager will provide leadership for the OR, ensuring safe, quality patient care around the clock and overseeing nursing practice, policies, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong interdisciplinary collaboration, program development for quality improvement, and coordination of patient care with other hospital services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Recent (within the last year) Acute Care OR (Operating room) Leadership experience required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse with active RN license and required credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and accountability for safe, quality patient care for assigned departments on a 24 hour basis, ensuring nursing practice, policies and procedures meet legal and regulatory requirements.
• Directs continuity of care using an interdisciplinary team approach, collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Develops and implements programs to measure and improve quality of nursing care and patient outcomes, supporting hospital-wide goals.
• Coordinates patient care with other services and departments throughout the hospital.
• Ensures provision of quality care by maintaining equipment and supplies.
• Participates in rounding and responds to patient needs to improve outcomes and experience.
• Fosters a culture of patient-centered care and a quiet healing environment.
