Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Washington is seeking a Registered Nurse in Surgical Services to provide nursing care for a defined patient group within ambulatory settings. You will collaborate with the health care team, perform wound care and IV administration, and support pre- and post-operative care across services.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, Washington RN license or Compact license, and BLS certification. Ambulatory care and BSN are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Registered Nurse license (Washington) required at hire or Compact License.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• Ambulatory care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Using the nursing process, assesses nursing care needs and develops a plan of care.
• Collaborates with health care team to coordinate services and education.
• Performs complex nursing procedures, wound care, IV meds, and perioperative nursing tasks.
• Provides patient and family education and counseling related to care plans.
• Ensures documentation and communication of patient status and care outcomes.
