Job summary

Dartmouth Health’s New London operations seeks an RN for perioperative care in a surgical services environment. The nurse will manage admissions, collaborate with anesthesia and surgeons, and ensure ASCASPAN-aligned care from pre- through post-procedure phases.

QUALIFICATIONS include graduation from an accredited nursing program and NH eligibility, with ACLS/BLS certifications required. Day shifts, per diem/temp, with a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• Graduate nursing degree with NH eligibility.
• Minimum clinical practice experience preferred in critical care or PACU.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient's admission process to NLH surgical services.
• Collaborate with anesthesia/surgeon to provide comprehensive admission care.
• Assess and document health status per ASPAN guidelines.
• Identify and report patient abnormalities to anesthesia/surgeon.
• Ensure accuracy of patient, procedure and surgeon prior to surgical procedure.
• Work with team to provide comprehensive care and document interventions.
• Demonstrate competency in post-anesthesia care and monitor patient status.
• Assess radiology post procedure status and execute orders.
