Job summary

Saint Luke’s Health System in Kansas City, MO, is seeking an Environmental Services Support role within Surgical Services. The position involves assisting with patient care processes, environmental turnover of procedure rooms, and routine cleaning in restricted areas.

You will transport patients and equipment as needed and assist licensed staff with patient care tasks under supervision. Ideal candidates are nursing students with a BLS certification and less than one year of relevant experience,

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Nursing student status in pursuit of program.
• Less than 1 year applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports patient care processes across Surgical Services.
• Provide environmental services to assist with procedure room turnover and routine cleaning of the surgical services in restricted and semi-restricted areas.
• Transport patients and/or equipment to/from/within Surgical Services.
• Assist with patient care needs as delegated by licensed staff (lifting, positioning, assisting with preps, etc.).
• Assist with case preparation processes as directed.
• Assist with instrumentation / supply handling / restocking as directed.

• Assist with patient care needs as delegated by licensed staff (lifting, positioning, assisting with preps, etc.).
• Assist with case preparation processes as directed.
• Assist with instrumentation / supply handling / restocking as directed.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year

• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Nursing Student - Various
