Job summary

Adena Health System seeks a Nurse Manager for Surgical Services at Adena Orthopedic & Spine Institute in Chillicothe. The role leads a care team in the Medical-Surgical Unit, ensuring high-quality patient care, workflow efficiency, and cost-effective operations, aligned with the system's mission and values.

Minimum requirements include a BSN (with progress toward MSN preferred), active Ohio RN licensure, BLS/ACLS within 90 days, and prior management/leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s preferred.
• Active Ohio RN license; BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• De-escalation training within 6 months; specialty certifications within 36 months.
• Previous management/leadership experience in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of care providers in the Medical‑Surgical Unit to ensure quality patient care.
• Oversee planning, organization, direction and evaluation of patient care operations.
• Collaborate with divisions to align care with system mission, values and goals.
• Provide coaching and performance evaluation for patient care staff; ensure cross‑department coordination.
