Job summary

South Texas Health System in McAllen, TX seeks a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join the Surgical Services team. You will assist the Chief of Surgery and coordinate activities across neurosurgery, general surgery and orthopedics, ensuring supplies and instruments are ready for procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or Higher Education required.
• Certification must be in accordance with AHA or ARC for Healthcare Provider’s Program.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the overall activities of the surgical service lines with focus on neurosurgery, general surgery and orthopedics.
• Assist in procurement of supplies, equipment and instruments based on surgeon preferences.
• Configure and maintain the surgery preference card system.
• Support development of data analytics, reporting, and business plans for the surgical department.
• Generate dashboard reports and assist in meetings with PowerPoint presentations and information Boards.
• Work with the Surgical Services team to improve efficiency and patient care.
