Surgical Services Assistant (Operating Room)
40 Hours Weekly, Full Time, First Shift (Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm)
Join our Operating Room team and help provide safe, efficient patient care throughout the surgical experience.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.
- Assist with patient transport, transfers, and positioning.
- Support surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists during procedures.
- Assist with room turnover, stocking supplies, and maintaining clean, organized work areas.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and equipment safety standards.
HANA Table
Experience with the HANA Surgical Table is highly preferred. This role supports orthopedic procedures by:
- Setting up and operating the HANA table and accessories.
- Assisting with safe patient positioning and transfers.
- Monitoring patient safety during table movement and positioning.
- Cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining HANA equipment.
- Supporting surgeons and the perioperative team during orthopedic procedures.
- Participating in HANA table call coverage.

- Flexible availability, including on‑call responsibilities.
- Knowledge of orthopedic patient positioning preferred.
- Prior Operating Room Experience is strongly preferred.
- BCLS Required within 90 days of hire.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently bend, reach, stoop, kneel, push, and pull.
- Assist with patient transfers, movement, and positioning.
- Safely maneuver specialized surgical equipment, including the HANA table.
- Possess the strength, stamina, manual dexterity, and visual acuity needed to work safely in a busy operating room environment.
Requirements
Hana Table Training Competency required within 90 days of hire
BCLS required within 90 days of hire
