Job summary

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Florida is seeking a Surgical Services Aide PRN to support the surgical team with non-clinical tasks, including patient transport, OR preparation, stocking supplies, and equipment maintenance.

You will contribute to a safe, efficient operating room environment, collaborate with teammates, uphold infection control standards, and be ready to obtain BLS within 30 days of start. Surgical Assistant certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have physical stamina and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to assist in non-clinical tasks in a busy surgical environment.
• Knowledge of infection control practices.
• Surgical Assistant Certification is preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start date is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from the operating room.
• Prepare and clean operating rooms for procedures.
• Stock supplies and manage equipment in the OR.
• Support patient care and coordination with the surgical team.
• Maintain a safe and efficient environment in the perioperative area.
• Assist with environmental maintenance and specimen handling.
• Communicate effectively with team members and departments.
