Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior acute health care setting experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates positive customer service utilizing appropriate telephone etiquette and strives to meet patient care needs with flexibility and urgency.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment by complying with RHS policies and regulatory requirements supporting National Safety Patient Goals and Quality Initiatives.
• Recognizes and reports variances and provides resolutions.
• Follows infection control, fall protocols, body mechanics and proper lifting techniques to minimize injuries.
• Demonstrates knowledge of technology systems necessary for patient data collection.
• Participates in training and supports team members, volunteers and students as needed.
• Follows the plan of care to ensure patients receive competent, ethical care within legal standards; protects patient privacy.
• Assists coworkers with care of customers regardless of assignment; helps complete tasks as needed.
• Promotes teamwork and seeks assistance when needed.
• Identifies and reports changes in patient condition to RN or LPN.
• Ensures availability of resources to support positive patient outcomes; maintains clean, safe work areas.
• Understands diverse patient care populations in the community.
• Supports cost containment and suggests waste reduction solutions.
