Job summary

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED (preferred) and 1 year of healthcare housekeeping experience. AED certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• 1 year housekeeping/environmental services experience in a healthcare setting (Preferred)
• Certified Auto External Defibrillator (AED) certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Cleans all assigned areas, including patient rooms, bathrooms, corridors, public areas, elevators and ancillary areas by sweeping, washing, mopping, dusting, disinfecting and sanitizing.
• Uses the correct cleaners for the intended task and labels/stores chemicals safely and properly.
• Restocks supplies and cleans carts daily to maintain smooth operations; areas are stocked with paper goods, soaps, chemicals and reusable goods as applicable.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment by complying with RHS, DNV, state and regulatory standards to ensure safety of patients, visitors and staff.
• Follows guidelines for body mechanics, hazardous materials handling and universal precautions to prevent accidents and injuries and maintain a safe work area.
• Ensures assignments are completed in a timely manner with quality infection control measures and ongoing cleanliness per policies.
