Job summary

Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH, is hiring a Surgical Services Aide for part-time days (24 hours per week). You will support life-changing surgeries by preparing ORs, transporting patients, and maintaining a clean, organized environment to protect patient safety and comfort.

You will work closely with nursing and surgical teams to ensure supplies are available and procedures run smoothly. Previous OR or EVS experience is preferred; Parkland offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Work experience in an OR setting, EVS, or Housekeeping- preferred
• Hospital work experience- preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stock the operating room with supplies and fluids to ensure procedures start smoothly
• Safely transport and transfer patients, verify identity, follow special-needs protocols
• Assist with cleaning and turnover of ORs to keep a safe, sterile environment
• Monitor equipment and report issues promptly to ensure safe surgeries
• Maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the surgical suite and adjacent areas

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Surgical Services Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting life-changing surgeries that heal and improve lives every day. Your attention to detail as you prepare operating rooms, safely transport patients, and maintain a clean, organized environment will directly impact patient safety, comfort, and the high-quality care we’re committed to delivering.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and stocking operating room with the right supplies, equipment, and fluids to ensure every procedure can start smoothly
• Transporting and transferring patients safely, verifying their identity, and following protocols for those with special needs or medical equipment
• Assisting with cleaning and turning over operating rooms between cases and at the end of the day to maintain a safe, sterile environment
• Monitoring equipment for potential issues and promptly reporting concerns to support smooth, safe surgical operations
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the surgical suite, including hallways, supply areas, and common spaces, to help protect every patient

What qualifications you will need:

• Work experience in an OR setting, EVS, or Housekeeping- preferred
• Hospital work experience- preferred
