Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field during surgical procedures and ensure sterility of supplies and instruments.
• Assist circulating nurse and surgical team in a sterile environment.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments pre- and intra-operatively.
• Gown and glove surgeons and assistants as required.
• Prepare and manage specimens for pathology with surgeon confirmation.
• Transport equipment for cleaning/reprocessing and support sterile supply.
• Uphold HIPAA, safety, and patient privacy standards.
