Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program is required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• One year of experience as a CVOR Surgical Technician is required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties throughout the surgical procedure as part of the surgical team.
• Works under the direction of a registered nurse and assists the nurse specialty leader.
• Maintains surgeon preferences for listed surgical procedures and stays current with new procedures and equipment.
• Demonstrates teamwork with the RN and scrub tech to achieve excellence in patient care and physician satisfaction.
