Qualifications

  • Preferred qualifications include at least two years of surgical/scrub experience in an acute care setting.

Summary of Job Duties:

Surgical/Scrub tech assembles supplies, maintains sterile field, passes instruments, and assists in room prep.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED plus graduation from an accredited Scrub Technologist program, or 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist.
  • Ability to follow oral instructions, read, and write.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least two years of surgical/scrub experience in an acute care or ambulatory surgery center.

Additional Information:

Must be fitted for and capable of donning PPE, including N95 masks, PAPR, or CAPR.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble supplies, maintain sterile fields, and assist in room prep.
  • Ensure availability of instrumentation and supplies.
  • Prepare operating rooms for cases, ensuring equipment readiness.
  • Clean and transport instruments per policy; assist with reprocessing as needed.
  • Ensure rooms are case-ready for next day.
  • Maintain knowledge of OR equipment, including safety and maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
