Job summary

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• High School Diploma/G.E.D is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates surgical and pre-admissions scheduling for the perioperative department.
• Obtains information needed to schedule procedures, preventing delays and conflicts.
• Adjusts scheduling for complex/exp exploratory procedures considering time and resources.
• Manages daily changes (add-ons, delays, emergencies) and multi-tasks under pressure.
• Liaises with patients, physicians, anesthesia, and staff to communicate professionally.
• Schedules procedures efficiently to minimize delays using available resources.
