Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience in surgical scheduling is preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic health records is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate all procedures and surgeries for the practice.
• Serve as liaison between patient, provider, clinical team and perioperative departments.
• Obtain pre-certification for testing and procedures and verify insurance coverage.
• Maintain accurate patient charts and demographics.
• Answer phones, relay messages, and provide information.
• Collaborate with scheduling team and other stakeholders to ensure patient readiness.
• Participate in daily huddles and practice meetings; perform cross-training as needed.
• Maintain infection control standards and complete mandatory health requirements.
