Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation is seeking a Surgical Scheduling Coordinator in Atlanta to manage the end-to-end surgical scheduling process and act as a central liaison among patients, physicians, and insurers.

Responsibilities include coordinating clearances and authorizations, reviewing documentation for authorizations, and guiding patients through pre-op steps to ensure a smooth surgical experience.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in Healthcare with one (1) year in a specialty office or procedure scheduling.
• Experience working in healthcare is Required.
• H.S. Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the surgical process from scheduling through the day of surgery.
• Serve as liaison between patients, physicians, insurance companies, and surgical teams.
• Review physician documentation, diagnoses, and procedure codes to support authorization requirements; assist patients with financial resources; manage incoming faxes; communicate with PCC and other partners.
