Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a Scheduling Specialist for Physician Practices. You will perform the scheduling function, act as a liaison for staff, medical staff, and physicians offices, and coordinate across surgical locations and affiliated centers.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree or 5 years of clerical healthcare experience. Bachelor's or advanced degree is preferred; strong MS Office and experience with computerized scheduling systems are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree preferred in Information Systems, Business Administration, Nursing or related field.
• Experience interfacing with physician offices, other departments, and third-party payers.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs the scheduling function for Physician Practices.
• Acts as a professional liaison for staff, other hospital personnel, medical staff, and physicians offices.
• Requires knowledge of all clinical service lines for the operating rooms at Northside surgical locations or affiliated centers.
• Demonstrates strong typing, data entry, and use of computerized documentation systems.
• Maintains high level of customer service and problem solving.
