Job summary

Axia Women’s Health is seeking a Surgical Scheduler to coordinate and schedule office-based procedures and hospital or ambulatory surgery center cases. The role serves as a liaison among patients, providers, hospitals, and vendors to ensure a seamless surgical experience.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of healthcare scheduling experience, preferably with an EMR system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of healthcare scheduling experience required.
• Experience working within an EMR system required.
• OB/GYN or REI scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule office-based procedures, surgeries, and hospital or ASC cases.
• Coordinate pre-operative testing, imaging, and medical clearances.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information and obtain prior authorizations.
• Ensure appointments align with provider orders and diagnoses.
• Provide patients with instructions regarding procedure preparation and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Coordinate with hospitals, surgical centers, and vendors to ensure resources are available.
