Job summary

Oneida Health Vascular Specialists in Oneida, NY is seeking a full-time Surgical Scheduler to manage patient scheduling for our Women’s Health clinic. You will assist patients and referring providers in coordinating surgical procedures at our hospital and outpatient offices, while maintaining strong relationships with physicians and staff.

The ideal candidate will work independently and as part of a team, demonstrate careful attention to detail, and follow all protocols to ensure safe, efficient

• Surgical scheduling or medical office experience (Required)
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and scheduling surgeries as designated by physicians using a computerized scheduling system.
• Working as a team member within the patient services department and all other departments.
• Recognizing and responding appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and management.
• Documenting work processes as required with attention to detail.
• Coordinating processes and routing all paperwork as required to meet physician and facility requirements.
• Ensuring efficient and effective telephone communication.
• Following all written protocols and procedures to a t.
