Position Overview

Capital Health, a leader in progressive patient care and technology, seeks a full-time Surgical Scheduler for Endocrinology Specialists. The role involves coordinating surgical cases, managing schedules, obtaining pre-certifications, and ensuring efficient patient flow.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinate with OR and GI Endoscopy units to schedule cases, avoiding resource conflicts.
  • Gather patient and procedure information, schedule procedures timely, and prepare schedules.
  • Obtain insurance authorizations and complete referrals.
  • Assist co-workers during busy periods and handle patient service independently.
  • Manage medical records, patient check-in/out, and follow-up communications.
  • Plan daily schedules to maximize physician productivity and coordinate resources.
  • Perform all receptionist duties, including answering calls, scheduling, and billing.
  • Handle patient problems/complaints and escalate as needed.
  • Support practice growth and community engagement efforts.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One-year experience in a medical office or hospital setting
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Frequent sitting, keyboard use, talking, and hearing.
  • Occasional standing, walking, lifting, and reaching.
  • Physical lifting up to 15 lbs. floor to waist, 10 lbs. above waist.
