Job summary

Swift Creek Animal Hospital in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our surgery-focused team. You will spend the majority of your schedule in the operating room, providing anesthesia support and surgical nursing while also handling appointments and advanced patient care.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) required.
• Strong anesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing experience.
• Ability to place IV catheters and administer medications.
• Excellent communication and client education skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery and perform pre-operative assessments.
• Calculate anesthetic protocols under supervision.
• Place and maintain IV catheters.
• Administer medications via SQ, IM, and IV.
• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia.
• Maintain anesthesia records and assist in post-operative recovery.
