Job summary

Golden Gate Veterinary Specialists, a member of Animal Outpatient Specialty Network, seeks a Surgical RVT to join our team. The RVT will support anesthesia, intraoperative care, and postoperative recovery with a focus on patient safety and efficient workflows.

Candidates should have RVT certification and veterinary facility experience, be team players, and able to cross-train for front desk duties. AOSN provides comprehensive benefits and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• College-level or college-equivalent education required to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.
• Must be friendly, outgoing, and people oriented.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Possible cross-training for front office receptionist duties; telephone and computer skills required.
• Team player willing to learn new techniques and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Preoperative assessment, preparation and diagnostic imaging including radiographs, CT, and ultrasound as trained.
• Administer anesthesia, manage monitoring equipment, and assist with induction and airway management.
• Provide intraoperative support, maintain monitoring and equipment readiness, and ensure smooth case starts.
• Monitor anesthesia recovery, manage pain, and coordinate post-operative care.
• Educate clients on discharge instructions, medications, and follow-up care.
• Maintain equipment readiness, sterile procedures, logs, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate medical records (ezyVet) and ensure documentation quality.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and team members to support patient safety and workflow.
