Park Veterinary Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team. The successful candidate will spend the majority of the week in surgery and anesthesia, while also supporting appointments and advanced patient care.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) required.
• Strong anesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing experience.
• Comfortable placing IV catheters, collecting blood samples, and administering medications.
• Excellent communication and client education skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Passion for providing exceptional patient care and advancing veterinary medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia and surgical support alongside veterinarians.
• Assist with pre-operative assessments and anesthesia administration.
• Maintain IV catheters and monitor vital signs during procedures.
• Administer medications via SQ, IM, and IV routes.
• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia; perform intubation and extubation.
• Maintain anesthesia records and assist with pain management.
