Job summary

MISTRAS Group in Lafayette, LA is hiring an Operating Room Housekeeper for the evening shift (3:00 PM – 10:00 PM) to keep ORs clean, disinfected, and ready for procedures. You will assist with turnovers and support nurses and surgical staff to maintain schedules.

No prior experience is required, but healthcare cleaning experience is a plus. We offer competitive pay, paid training, and growth opportunities within a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Reliable and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical cleaning duties.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect operating rooms between procedures.
• Perform turnovers quickly and efficiently.
• Terminal cleaning of operating rooms and surgical areas.
• Restock supplies and prepare rooms for upcoming surgeries.
• Dispose of trash, biohazard waste, and soiled linens per safety guidelines.
• Clean floors, walls, equipment, and surfaces.
• Work with nurses and surgical staff to keep procedures on schedule.
• Follow infection control and hospital safety standards.
