Responsibilities

• Maintains departmental policies and infection control standards.
• Performs terminal cleaning of OR rooms and prepares rooms for next case.
• Cleans and disinfects floors per protocols.
• Moves equipment and furniture in ORs per cleaning procedures.
• Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials.
• Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings; OR cleaning certification.
• Buffs, strips, waxes, polishes floors and top scrubs.
• Performs regular housekeeping in non-patient OR areas.
