Job summary

You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

You will support surgical interventions across all ages, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and education throughout the perioperative process.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• RN license valid in the state of practice.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient-centered nursing care based on standards and the nursing process.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and per policy.
• Documents all aspects of patient care clearly and accurately.
• Monitors, evaluates, and communicates patient condition to team, patient, and family.
• Coordinates with surgical and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care.
• Participates in patient transfer, discharge, and referrals as needed.
• Educates patients and families on procedures, recovery expectations, and post-operative care.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients throughout the perioperative process.
