Job summary

This role supports surgical interventions and ensures patient safety and education throughout the perioperative process. Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting care, coordinating with surgical teams, educating patients and families, and supporting safe patient transfers and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• RN license in state of practice (Georgia).
• BSN preferred; BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required.
• Minimum of one year nursing experience; perioperative or surgical preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient-centered nursing care based on standards and the nursing process.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and per policy.
• Documents all aspects of patient care clearly and accurately.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to team, patient, and family.
• Collaborates with surgical and interdisciplinary teams for optimal care.
• Assists with patient transfer, discharge, and referrals as needed.
• Educates patients and families on procedures, recovery, and post‑op care.
• Advocates for patient well‑being throughout the surgical experience.
