Job summary

Health Partners in Minnesota is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Surgery Department. The role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care, performing assessments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of recent surgery experience, active MN RN license (WI license within two months of hire), and a current BLS certification. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year recent experience in surgery with knowledge of infection control and surgical procedures.
• Current RN licensure in Minnesota; Wisconsin license within two months of hire.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained (online BLS not acceptable).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality service to patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and establish a plan of care; address changes in patient condition.
• Delegate nursing tasks when appropriate and supervise staff.
• Create and implement teaching plans based on identified patient needs.
• Act as a resource and collaborate with other care team members to ensure care continuity.
