Qualifications

• 1 year of operating room/surgical experience.
• If operational conditions permit, training a candidate without the required experience may be considered.
• RN: CA license upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains current knowledge of patient safety standards and National Patient Safety goals.
• Able to safely administer medications and blood using the 7 rights of medication and blood administration.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic work environment at all times and identifies and addresses problems.
• Adheres to infection control principles, including asepsis and isolation techniques.
• Receive, interpret and implement physician orders with readback of all orders.
• Perform patient assessment/reassessment and handoffs, establish priorities for care.
