Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking a Registered Nurse in the GI/GU Surgical Unit. You will deliver care to post-operative patients, perform assessments, planning, and interventions on a unit opening with 20 beds (expanding to 36).

Requires an Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing, Texas RN licensure, BCLS, and CPI training within 90 days. 1 year RN experience or RN Residency completion is expected; 2+ years med-surg preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing.
• BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire.
• 1-year experience as a registered nurse or the completion of an RN Residency program.
• 2+ years med surg experience as an RN in acute care setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
