Job summary

Adventist Health Lodi Memorial is seeking a skilled perioperative nurse to organize and support patient care in the operating room. The role involves circulating and scrubbing during procedures, verifying sites, and assisting with instrument handling in close collaboration with surgeons.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, CNOR and RNFA certifications, and BSN is preferred. CPR/BLS is required, with PALS preferred, and AORN membership optional.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of practice is required.
• RNFA certification is required.
• CNOR certification is required.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• PALS certification is preferred.
• AORN membership is preferred.
• BSN degree is preferred.
• Basic Life Support/CPR certification is required per AH policy.

Responsibilities

• Performs circulating and scrubbing duties.
• Verifies surgical site/side before induction of anesthesia.
• Counts sponges, needles, sharps and instruments per policy.
• Assists with cannulation and decannulation when indicated.
• Continues with instrument handling and tissue dissection in collaboration with the surgeon.
