Job summary

Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assistant for a full-time Day shift with 12-hour rotations. The RNFA collaborates with the surgical team to perform safe procedures and may scrub or circulate as needed, ensuring efficient, patient-centered care.

Requirements include California RN license, BLS, and a minimum of 3 years of perioperative nursing experience. A BSN is preferred or in progress with graduation within 6 months.

Qualifications

• RN First Assistant with perioperative nursing experience.
• California Registered Nurse License on hire.
• 3 years of diversified perioperative nursing experience.
• BLS certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon and healthcare team to perform safe operative procedures.
• Provide circulating and/or scrub duties as assigned when not assisting.
• Apply nursing process to care for patients undergoing surgery and evaluate outcomes.
