Job summary

Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights, OH is seeking an RN – Surgery to join a Magnet-certified surgical team. You will provide care for adults and pediatrics, assist surgeons, and help maintain a safe, efficient operating room environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program).
• Current state licensure as an RN.
• Licensed military RN experience will be considered.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• One year RN experience or completion of Cleveland Clinic perioperative residency program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care in an operative setting to adult and pediatric patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub functions, such as selecting and handling instruments and supplies.
• Perform circulating functions, such as monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing the overall nursing care of patients before, during and after the procedure.
• Assist the operating physician with surgical tasks, such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure and patient positioning.
• Prepare the Operating Room, surgical instruments and surgical equipment for use.
