Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Circulator for Tate Surgery. This full-time, day-shift role features Monday–Friday, 8–10 hour days, with hours varying by case volume and no on-call requirement.

You will perform patient assessments, implement nursing interventions, document care, and contribute to the Interdisciplinary Care Plan on the Medical-Surgical unit, collaborating with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice.
• Bachelors degree preferred but not required.
• Basic Life Support certification is required
• ACLS and PALS are required
• Handle with Care preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).
• Assessments learning needs and delivers age/culture-appropriate patient/family education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and required continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may take on-call assignments.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Pre and Post operative care of patients
