Join our esteemed team at Riley Hospital for Children, boasting 16 cutting-edge operating rooms (ORs) catering to a diverse array of specialties such as General Surgery, Urology, Orthopedics, Plastics, Ear, Nose, and Throat, Cardiovascular, and Neurosurgery. We are on the lookout for passionate individuals who are committed to excellence in patient care, to become part of our collaborative workforce at one of Indiana's premier Level I pediatric trauma hospitals.
This position is a day shift role working 4 10-hour days (7:00am-5:30pm) Monday-Friday with a rotating day off. Requires call coverage (about one "on call" shift per week). Holiday rotation is also required.
Surgical Resource Technologists provide service and support before, during, and after surgical procedures. Assists in ensuring the presence and proper arrangement of surgical equipment, supplies, and instrumentation in the operating room prior to each operation. Provides assistance to the surgeon in the operating room as allowed by professional and legal standards. Assists in the turnover of the operating room after the procedure, ensuring proper routing and/or processing of all specimens, equipment, instrumentation, and supplies. Works as a member of the surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel.
