The ideal candidate will have Iowa RN licensure, 2+ years in surgical care, and certifications in BCLS, ACLS, PALS, plus mandatory reporting. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Iowa.
• 2+ years surgical or scrub experience preferred.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and Mandatory Reporting.
• Strong communication & teamwork skills.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care in the operating room setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures as a scrub and circulating nurse.
• Maintain a sterile field and follow OR protocols.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instruments and supplies—perform and verify counts.
• Assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after procedures.
• Implement individualized care plans in accordance with hospital policies and directives.
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic health records.
• Participate in on-call rotation and team-based care.
