Boone County Hospital in Boone, IA, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgical Services department. This PRN position involves providing patient care with a team-centered approach across the OR and related areas, including admissions and discharges.
Shifts are Days, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. plus call hours, with variable weekday scheduling. Iowa RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS plus Mandatory Reporter training are required.

Shares the responsibility with other members of the health care team to provide care for the patient that is designed to meet his/her total needs. Responsible for the knowledge of aseptic technique, basic knowledge of operative procedures, and instrumentation. Responsible for tasks that extend beyond patient care which are required for the efficient organization and management of the O.R., including admitting and discharging patients, PACU, Circulator/Endoscopy.
Current RN License in the State of Iowa. BLS, ACLS, PALS & Mandatory Reporter.
PPE: Eye protection, face shield, various PPE according to hospital policy
Clothing: Chemical resistant scrubs
Environmental: Wet/humid, chemicals, normal conditions for hearing/noise, exposure to unpleasant sight/smell/infectious disease
Sensory: Hearing, vision, color vision, talking-ordinary conversation, loudly or quickly, hearing-ability to hear alarms, radio/phone, and instructions from others.
