The Radiologic Technologist role requires knowledge of anatomy and physiology, ability to operate a mobile C-Arm in a surgical setting, and adherence to radiation safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.
• One year of surgical setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff.
• Review and evaluate developed x-rays and computer data to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Position imaging equipment and set exposure times and distances per examination specifications.
• Explain procedures and monitor patient safety and comfort during scans.
• Enter data into EMR to document completed exams.
• Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Position and immobilize patients on exam tables and maintain patient data records.
• Take thorough patient histories and maintain aseptic procedures.
• Assist with department operations by answering phones, stocking supplies, and maintaining organization.
• Perform room turnovers with operating room staff.
