Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA seeks a Diagnostic Radiology Tech to image patients undergoing surgical procedures.

You will work with the surgical team, safely operate radiographic equipment and apply radiation protection to produce optimum images. Requirements include graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program, current ARRT and LSRT licenses, 2 years’ experience in a surgical/outpatient setting, and current BLS through ILCOR courses with manikin check-off.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiological technology program.
• Current ARRT license.
• LSRT license required.
• 2 years of experience in an outpatient surgical facility or inpatient hospital.
• BLS certification through ILCOR courses (e.g., AHA, Red Cross). Must include manikin check-off.
• Able to work flexible hours.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with patients of all types and ages.

Responsibilities

• Image patients undergoing surgical procedures and work with the surgical team.
• Safely operate radiographic equipment and position patients.
• Apply radiation protection and select technical factors for optimum radiographs.
• Track patient studies and PAS acquisition; perform delegated tasks as needed.
