Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Iowa seeks a Radiographer for OR and diagnostic imaging coverage. The role includes performing fixed, portable, C-arm, and O-arm radiography at MMC and affiliated locations, with on-call rotation to support surgical procedures.

The position requires ARRT certification and Iowa licensure, BLS, and adherence to infection control policies. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required and Iowa licensure to practice diagnostic radiography.
• BLS certification required per American Heart Association guidelines.
• Experience in surgical radiography preferred; 6 months minimum.
• Knowledge of imaging modalities used in OR and diagnostic X-ray settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations using fixed, portable, C-arm, and O-arm equipment.
• Maintain ALARA principles to minimize radiation dose.
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, and verify patient identity and history.
• Participate in OR call rotation to support surgical imaging needs.
• Adhere to infection control and safety policies in surgery.
