Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits via phone or internet.
• Obtain prior authorizations for scheduled procedures.
• Provide patients with cost estimates and explain financial responsibilities.
• Collect pre-payments when appropriate.
• Coordinate pre-certification with facilities and staff.
• Document and update patient insurance information in Eyecare.
• Assist reception with insurance, billing and customer service tasks.
