Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Surgical Auth Advocate to obtain Surgical Pre-Authorizations and/or Pre-Determinations for procedures including injections and high-end radiology for surgery providers in assigned locations.

The role requires 3–5 years of medical office experience with prior authorization and familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 coding; experience with insurance payors and submitting requests is essential.

Qualifications

• Three (3) to five (5) years medical office experience to include prior authorization and experience with pre-determination for surgical or high-end procedures.
• Above average knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Experience with insurance payors and submitting authorization requests.
