Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre-certifications and pre-authorizations for procedures, tests, and medications.
• Triage and transcribe patient calls; schedule outpatient appointments.
• Document detailed notes in the EMR and track authorization statuses.
• Serve as liaison to physicians, carriers, and departments to resolve issues.
• Support other authorization specialists and ensure efficient workflow and timely scheduling.
