Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Plano is seeking a Physician Assistant for Neurosurgery/Neuro Interventional Radiology to support fellowship-trained surgeons and work within a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center.

The role requires AMA-accredited PA training, Texas PA license on hire, ACLS/BCLS, and NCCPA preferred, with 1 year neurosurgery experience strongly preferred. Excellent benefits and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA accredited Physician Assistant program required.
• 3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.
• 1 year of experience in Neurosurgery/Neuro IR strongly preferred.
• PA - Physician Assistant Current State of Texas PA license upon hire required and
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required and
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
• Other - NCCPA upon hire preferred
• Other - must be credentialed by Medical Staff Service upon hire rquired

Responsibilities

• Documents actions, assessments, progress notes and plans in the EHR utilizing approved protocols, order sets and navigators as appropriate; addresses medication reconciliation.
• Contributes to positive patient experience through effective patient communication and coordination with the multidisciplinary care team.
• Meets regulatory requirements, NPSGs, clinical and other KPIs, safety standards; analyzes performance; makes fiscally sound decisions.
• Performs clinical procedures authorized by the physician within scope of training and medical staff bylaws.

Here’s What You Need
