Qualifications

  • Must possess a current and unrestricted license as a Physician Assistant (PA) or APRN.
  • Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Successful completion of the PANCE exam (for PAs).

Job description

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support in acute, ambulatory, and operating room settings within the Hepatobiliary surgery specialty.
  • Maintain a schedule of 5 days a week in the hospital / OR.
  • On the floor, participates in patient rounding and scribing duties.
  • Accurately assesses patient conditions and documents findings effectively to support charges and facilitate communication with other providers.
  • Conducts comprehensive patient assessments, including evaluation of functional, mental, social, and physical conditions.
  • Establishes accurate diagnoses based on patient assessments.
  • Seeks consultation and/or supervision from physicians as needed to ensure proper assessment and treatment.
  • Actively involves patients and caregivers in the development of treatment plans.
  • Serves as a liaison between the clinic and other healthcare providers to ensure timely and comprehensive patient care.
  • Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans and evaluating patient outcomes.
  • Takes responsibility for clear and effective communication of patient needs, care plans, and problem resolution to physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Possesses the knowledge and skills to provide supervision to clinical staff as needed.

About the overseeing physician:

Dr. Attili is a highly skilled surgeon with specialized expertise in complex gastrointestinal procedures, particularly those involving the liver, biliary system, pancreas, spleen, adrenal glands, and stomach. He is board-certified in general surgery and completed a rigorous fellowship in minimally invasive advanced gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic (HPB) surgery at Miami Cancer Institute. Dr. Attili is committed to utilizing the latest advancements in surgical technology, including robotic-assisted techniques. Notably, he is the sole HPB-trained surgeon in the state of Arkansas.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current and unrestricted license as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Arkansas.
  • Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant or Surgeon Assistant program (for PAs).
  • Successful completion of the PANCE exam (for PAs).
  • Must have a work history and credentials that meet the requirements for malpractice insurance coverage in Arkansas.
  • Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
