Job summary

St. David's Medical Center, part of St. David's HealthCare, in Austin, TX, is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across the care team.

You will follow established nursing models and advocate for patients, families, and caregivers. Responsibilities include assessing patients on admission and during shifts, administering medications, documenting care, responding to requests, and educating patients and families about conditions and treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN license required.
• Bachelor's, Master's or Associate degree in nursing.
• No travel required.
• 1 year of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve them.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up steps, ensuring understanding.
