Texas Health Fort Worth invites qualified candidates for a Part-Time Days PCT position in the Surgical PCU. You will assist with patient care, data collection, and collaborate with nurses to support admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• PCT training program or THR approved program; certification not required at hire.
• EMT training or equivalent (EMT-B) upon hire.
• Nursing student or foreign nurse with fundamentals completed may be considered.
• One year of applicable experience may substitute for certification.
• BCLS certification required prior to independent patient care and maintained.
• CPI training maintained annually (90 days) required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care based on plan of care and patient/family preferences.
• Collects and reports patient data; supports admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Performs technical procedures safely and documents care accurately.
• Collaborates with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations and cultural needs.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and addresses patient and visitor needs.
• Demonstrates teamwork, flexibility, and effective multidisciplinary communication.
• Participates in process improvement and adheres to safety goals.
